Introducing Indiana Childcare Associations Preschool Program 05 -06

FREE if you are a member; just download  from our website at www.indianachildcare.com ICA in “standing hand in hand with providers” wanted to help you enhance your childcare by providing you with a program to help your days go smoother. If your children follow along for the year you should have met all Foundation for Young Children Standards as well as Indiana Academic Standards for Kindergarten readiness.

This program is designed for children 3-5 yrs. It has been written for those working with mixed age groups and it’s easy enough for anyone to follow,  plus it’s flexible, for those days when the unexpected happens. How you run your preschool program at your childcare is your choice, so we just give you everything to work with, and you can individualize and rearrange as necessary to make it work in your setting!

*You will receive Daily Reports, that you can use to keep your parents informed of how their child’s day went (includes diapering, meal times, don’t forget, and what we did today).

* You will receive Assessment Sheets to evaluate how each child is learning, and what areas he/she may need help in.

*Each week we will have a New Theme. Your child will enjoy learning thru the following hands on ideas we will provide:

1. Books (we will give ideas for each theme)

2. Cooking (child friendly recipes)

3. Art (using items you probably all ready have around the house)

4. Games (to help them use up that energy)

5.  Learning Activities (several to choose from)

6. Songs (some familiar, and some with new words to familiar tunes)

* You will receive fun learning sheets, and exciting ideas for the following:

1. The alphabet A-Z, three per month, includes letter recognition, consonant sound,

    short and long vowel sounds.

2. Numbers 1-20, three per month, includes counting and number recognition

3. Colors, a new color monthly

4. Shapes, a new shape monthly
