hand with providers” wanted to help you enhance your childcare by providing
you with a program to help your days go smoother. If your children follow
along for the year you should have met all Foundation for Young Children
Standards as well as Indiana Academic Standards for Kindergarten readiness.
This program is designed for children
3-5 yrs. It has been written for those working with mixed age groups and
it’s easy enough for anyone to follow, plus it’s flexible, for those days
when the unexpected happens. How you run your preschool program at your
childcare is your choice, so we just give you everything to work with, and
you can individualize and rearrange as necessary to make it work in your
setting!
*You will receive Daily Reports,
that you can use to keep your parents informed of how their child’s day went
(includes diapering, meal times, don’t forget, and what we did today).
* You will receive Assessment
Sheets to evaluate how each child is learning, and what areas he/she may
need help in.
*Each week we will have a New Theme.
Your child will enjoy learning thru the following hands on ideas we will
provide:
1. Books (we will give ideas for each
theme)
2. Cooking (child friendly recipes)
3. Art (using items you probably all
ready have around the house)
4. Games (to help them use up that
energy)
5. Learning Activities (several to
choose from)
6. Songs (some familiar, and some with
new words to familiar tunes)
* You will receive fun learning
sheets, and exciting ideas for the following:
1. The alphabet A-Z, three per month,
includes letter recognition, consonant sound,
short and long vowel sounds.
2. Numbers 1-20, three per month,
includes counting and number recognition
3. Colors, a new color monthly
4. Shapes, a new shape monthly
5. Rhymes, a new rhyme each week.
6. Skill concepts, such as: sorting,
graphing, positional concepts, sequencing, science,
opposites, matching, and patterning
6. The last week of each month is
review, time for you to catch up on things you just
couldn’t fit into your schedule
earlier.
